Transportation Management System (TMS)
A software platform used by freight forwarders and logistics companies to plan, execute, and optimize the movement of goods — managing shipments, carriers, documents, compliance, and billing in a centralized system.
A Transportation Management System (TMS) is the central software platform that freight forwarders and logistics companies use to manage their operations. A TMS handles shipment planning and booking, carrier selection and management, documentation and compliance, shipment tracking and visibility, invoicing and accounting, and reporting and analytics.
